The Middle School girls' took the lead "right off the bat" against Hichborn this morning. Our bats were alive; we worked together on the field, despite having a rough fourth inning and losing our lead by 9 runs! That didn't stop these girls. Pitchers pitched. Fielders fielded. Batters batted. Base runners ran, and we pulled off the win of 21-19! Both teams were equally matched. It was a fun game to watch! Come watch the ladies on our home field as we host Stearns at 4:00 on May 10th!
Congratulations to PCSS Seniors Sydney Grenier and Saia Miles on their upcoming exhibition as part of the Monson Arts Student Residency.
Over the past year as part of the program, all participating students studied with professional artists from Maine and abroad in workshops and open studio sessions in a variety of mediums and modes (short fiction, poetry, painting, drawing, mixed media, et cetera). The exhibition is the culminating activity of those sessions and features work from students throughout the region and its sending high schools.
The exhibition runs from May 6th to June 1st, with a special viewing on May 6th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and a formal reception on May 13th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
