This announcement goes out to parents of 5th grade boys. If you have a son who is interested in playing middle school soccer, please email me at jgallant@sad4.org. The team is short on players so there is a need at this time for 5th graders. They must be able to show proof of a physical within the past two years. Paperwork can be picked up at PCHS in the main office. The season started today but it is not to late to join.

This is another reminder that philosophical and religious vaccination exemptions are no longer, by law, accepted by the schools, with very few exceptions. I sent out one last letter (the third since April) on the 13th to those students who are currently not up-to-date. The letter lets you know which vaccinations your child is in need of in order to begin the school year on 9/1. If your child is on a catch-up schedule, please have your PCP fax a signed schedule of proposed dates on which he/she expects to administer the missing vaccinations. An acceptable practitioner, according to the DOE, includes a DO, MD, NP or PA. No other providers are accepted by the DOE. Please email me with any questions as I don’t routinely check the FB page. wviera@sad4.org
Just a friendly reminder that on Sunday, August 15 at 6:00, I will be holding my parent/athlete meeting for fall sports. This meeting will be held in the gym and all will be asked to social distance. Your child's paperwork and schedules will be made available. Go Pirates!
When searching for the athletic schedules, please do not click on the icon with the picture of the sprinter. Scroll down to where it says Athletics. Here is where you will find the schedules. The other system is not set up yet. Hope this helps.
All fall schedules are now posted on the SAD#4 website.
Impact testing message
I would like to announce that High School Fall Sports will get underway on Monday, August 16 this year. Middle School Fall Athletics will begin On Monday, August 23 this year. All schedules will be made available soon on the SAD#4 website. Stay tuned.
Parents of fall athletes, on Sunday, August 15 at 6:00, I will be holding and Fall Sports Informational meeting in the gym. Parents and athletes are invited as I will be providing important information concerning our sports programs and Covid updates. Parents and athletes will also get to meet their coach as they will provide you with some much needed information concerning their programs. All paperwork will be on a table in the gym for you to fill out and have ready for your child's first day of practice. At this time, masks will NOT be required unless you want to ear one. Social distancing is still required. Jason Hill will be present to once again talk about our BIG fundraiser we do each year. Please try to have at least one parent present during this important meeting. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your summer! Mr. Gallant
This message is for all the parents who have children who plan on playing a sports at either PCMS or PCSS this coming school year.
ALL athletes will need to take the Concussion Baseline ImPact Test before they can play a sport this coming school year. This test is for students who are 12 years old or older and required by SAD#4. It is a simple computer test done in our school library and takes between 45-60 minutes to complete. When your child arrives, they will go to a station (computer) and wait for my instructions before they can start the test. Your child will need to know their email address, address, height and weight and knowledge of if they have ever been concussed before. The days of testing will be on Tuesday, August 10 and Wednesday, August 11. I will be testing every hour on the hour starting at 6:00 am with my last session starting at 3:00. If your child cannot make any one of these times, you will have to contact Andrea to let her know. I will get back with you as soon as I can. There will be ten computers available for each session. Please call Andrea starting Monday morning to register your child. Parents will need to wait outside while their child is testing. No food or drinks allowed. This test is required every two years. If you want to reach out to me via email (jgallant@sad4.org) or FB to register your child, that would be awesome as well. Have a great day! Mr. Gallant
This is a reminder that a new State law this year requires vaccination for all students (with very few exceptions). If your child is under vaccinated, you should’ve received at least two letters from me since March. I plan on sending a final reminder out in the next week or so. Students will not be allowed, according to the law, to begin school on September 1st if they are not up to date, do not have a medical exemption from a DO, MD, NP or PA, or a catch-up plan signed by one of the above on file. Please send any updates to wviera@sad4.org or fax to 876-4291 Required vaccines include: DTaP, MMR, IPV, Varicella, Tdap, and Meningococcal.
For those students that have received the second dose of the Covid vaccine, Northwoods will be mailing out the vaccination cards by the end of the week. If you don’t receive it by mid-week next week, zap me an email. -wviera@sad4.org
